This unique Sri Lankan drink is made from the pulp of the wood apple fruit, which has a distinctive aroma and a complex, tangy-sweet flavor. Traditionally, Wood Apple Juice is prepared by blending the ripe fruit pulp with coconut water or plain water, sweetened lightly with jaggery or kithul treacle, and sometimes enhanced with a hint of salt or lime.
